Delete your account and data
You can ask us to delete your MarksPulse account at any time, and you do not need the app installed to do it.
How to ask
In the app: a parent or student opens Profile, then Account settings, and a teacher or assistant opens the More tab. Then tap Ask to delete my account. A teacher still waiting for approval finds the same button on the application screen.
Without the app: email ahmed.elsersi3@gmail.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject Delete my account.
We use the sending address to confirm it is you — that is the only reason it matters. If you cannot send from that address, tell us and we will find another way to verify you rather than delete on request alone.
We complete deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in and your account details: email, name, phone, language, location.
- Your device tokens, so nothing further is sent to your phone.
- Student profiles you own, and their attendance, marks, homework and fee records.
- If you are a teacher: your tenancy, your groups, your timetable, and the records you wrote.
What is not, and why
Records another person owns. If a second parent also reads a child's profile, deleting your account removes your access, not the child's record — it is not only yours to delete. Ownership can be transferred instead.
A teacher's own bookkeeping. When a student leaves, the teacher keeps his register and his record of what was paid for the school year in progress, the same way a paper ledger works. Those are deleted with the rest of that year at the year end.
The activity log. A short record that an action happened — including your deletion — is kept without your personal details in it. Without it we could not show a teacher who acted on his data, or prove a deletion was carried out.
Everything expires anyway
MarksPulse holds one academic year. At the end of each year attendance, marks, homework, fees and announcements are permanently deleted from the app, whether or not anybody asked. Deleting your account brings that forward for what belongs to you.
If you only want to leave one teacher
You do not need to delete your account. Open that teacher in the app and end the enrolment — he stops seeing your child, and your other teachers are unaffected.
